  I love this place!
  Some of the best dal makhani in the city!
  It's a very cozy spot, and that along with the comfort and quality of the food really makes you feel like you're being welcomed and fed quality, authentic, homemade Punjabi food.
  The variety of desserts is great for after you've filled up on their buffet!

  The buffet is now $10, which is still a great price.
  
  Unfortunately, their restaurant on Pembina had a short-lived run and has been closed for quite some time now.

  WORST FOOD... food smells of burnt oil, must have been reused over and over again. Additionally saw flies in the store.... just had to throw away all the food we bought. Very sub-standard.

  It being my Birthday my wife and three kids drove to the Punjab sweet house for some dinner. With the favorable food reviews I thought it would be a good place to go.  We were not greeted when we arrived and had to ask if we just sit down or we get seated. Then the server came with water and then never came back and we waited ten minutes and had to get up and ask for a menu. We were given the most crusty, filthy worn out menu I have ever seen in a restaurant ever. So we looked at it for about ten minutes and still no one came to take out order. We then put on our jackets and left. There wasn't anyone out front to see us leave. The food could be the best anywhere, but if the service sucks and the restaurant looks dirty, it's not worth spending your money.

  Price is right.  
  Good food, but very small selection if you are going for the buffet.
  All vegetarian
